FAQs

What is nature connection?

Nature connection is your relationship with the natural world. It’s a way that you feel connected to something larger than yourself. You’re a part of the nature that surrounds you.

What is forest bathing?

Forest bathing (aka shinrin-yoku) uses your five senses to connect with your natural surroundings. You immerse yourself in the present, usually with the help of a certified forest bathing guide. It helps improve your overall mental and physical health.

Do I need to bring anything or wear specific clothing?

You don’t need to bring anything except perhaps a bottle of water. Nature Happy provides all materials for nature connection exercises. You just need to bring yourself and make sure to wear comfortable clothing that is suitable for the weather conditions.

Do I need to be physically fit?

No — we welcome any and all fitness levels. The exercises in our nature-based wellness programs include only light physical activities like walking, sitting, and standing.

Are you able to accommodate those who have limited mobility?

Absolutely! Nature Happy programmes involve light physical activity like walking, but can always be modified and adapted to include individuals with limited mobility. You will still be able to participate in all activities.

Will I have to do anything I don’t want to?

Nope! I act as a facilitator and guide, not an instructor. I always encourage you to listen to your body and do what feels right for you. If something is uncomfortable or not your cup of tea, you’re always welcome to not participate in that activity.

Will the session go ahead in any weather?

Yes- this is Scotland after all, where we can experience four seasons in one day! You may be surprised how nature connection is enhanced in the rain for example. The only exception is when we may cancel due to severe weather warnings – see the FAQ about our cancellation policy for more.

What if my business isn’t located in Tayside & Angus, Scotland? Can I still book Nature Happy services?

We are  able to travel to nearby areas including Edinburgh, Lothians, Fife and the central belt. Send me a message through the form above, or email me at info@naturehappy.scot to see if we’re a good fit to work together.

What if I have to cancel?

Please note that where the event you have booked is a paid-for event, then the following cancellation policy will apply:

If you need to cancel your paid-for booking, we ask that you do so at least seven working days before the date of the event to receive a full refund. This gives us the opportunity to offer places to other attendees.

Cancellations made seven working days or more in advance of the event date will receive a 100% refund. Otherwise, you will not be entitled to any refund.

Nature Happy may have to decide to cancel organised events in light of severe weather conditions. In this case, all pre-paid tickets will be re-issued with a future date for the event to be repeated.
